There are several assumptions why Kirov (former Vyatka) has become a center of art brushes production in Russia. It is known for certain that 200 years ago manufacturing of colorful clay toys (Dymkovo toys) was prospering in Vyatka region. For toy painting sticks braided with rags were used – that is how old brushes looked like.
On the 17th of November in the year of 1988 in Kirov, Russia, there appeared the first cooperative enterprise, specializing in art brushes manufacturing. The trade mark of this enterprise is now Roubloff.
For more than 20 years we have been improving our production technology. We took the best from German, Japan, Italian and Chinese brushes producers, at the same time we managed to keep Kirov technique of natural hair treatment. Nowadays we can be proud of our production.
